Machine hair strokes use a machine with one single needle to create hair strokes. This method produces minimal skin trauma; there's little to no bleeding, and less pigment is deposited. We transitioned to only offering machine hair strokes because the healed results stay beautiful long term. The hair strokes remain crispy, look like hyper-realistic hair strokes, and age beautifully over time.

What's the difference between Machine Hair Strokes & Microblading?

Microblading uses a manual tool that uses a blade made up of several needles to cut the skin to deposit the pigment. With this technique, the blade causes trauma which could lead to scarring, and 100% of pigment is deposited into each stroke. The skin is like a sponge and cannot handle all of the pigment that the blade produces. This can cause the strokes to blur together over time and could often turn gray.

A huge factor that impacted our decision to fully transition to only offering machine hair strokes is- ALL skin types are a candidate! Finally, we have a beautiful option for clients with alopecia, oily skin, and mature skin types. After spending years researching permanent makeup and handcrafting the best technique to achieve results that age beautifully over time, we can confidently go into each appointment knowing that the results will heal beautifully.

What's the difference between Machine Hair Strokes & Microblading?

Microblading heals beautifully on clients with no previous permanent makeup, normal to dry skin (no skin complications or chronic conditions), little to zero visible pores, naturally full brows (experienced no significant hair loss), and naturally fine hair texture. In reality, that average is around 5-10% of our clientele. Perfect skin is very rare, so we need to offer a service that will remain to look naturally beautiful as the permanent makeup ages and fades over time.

What's the difference between Machine Hair Strokes & Microblading?
Another fantastic bonus with machine hair strokes is the unlimited possibilities of artistry and techniques. We can use different needle configurations, pigment colors, multiple techniques, and crisscross strokes throughout the procedure to create the ultimate hyper-realistic effect entirely customizable for each client's hair growth pattern and texture.

What's the difference between Machine Hair Strokes & Microblading?
There are limitations to artistic freedom while microblading because there is a risk of producing unwanted healed results. Microblading strokes must have plenty of space in between the strokes. They must not overlap or crisis cross in any way, which prevents the artist from creating intricate stroke patterns to create hyper-realistic results. If the artist adds too many strokes that are too close to each other, it can cause the strokes to blur together once healed due to pigment oversaturation.

The salon is lovely, clean and comfortable. The process was virtually pain free and my healing after the first session was very easy. Caitlyn's instructions for after care and what would happen during the healing process were spot on. I had the initial treatment with machine strokes and then a touch up 8 weeks later and am so happy with my new brows.
